October is one of our favorite months at the dojo—cooler weather outside, but plenty of heat and energy inside the mats. This season brings new classes, big goals, and a chance to finish the year strong. Whether you’re here to sharpen your skills, test your limits, or just have fun training with friends, there’s something on the calendar for you. Dive into this month’s updates and let’s make October unforgettable!

 DATES, EVENTS, AND HOLIDAYS

October 4 │ 12 PM – 5 PM – Oktoberfest Performance
Our team will showcase their skills, discipline, and power with dynamic demonstrations that highlight the spirit of martial arts. From precision techniques to high-energy performances, you’ll witness the focus, dedication, and passion that drive our ninjas every time they step onto the mat.

October 18 │ 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Leadership & Instructor Development Training
Skill sharpening for our leadership track: communication, demo presence, and teaching basics.

October 19 │ 8 AM (Doors Open) – Cervizzi Tournament
Martial artists from all styles and systems will gather for the CMAA Spring Invitational Tournament—a safe, family-style event that celebrates skill, discipline, and community.

October 24 │ 3 PM – 5:45 PM – Halloween Stroll & Costume Class
Dress up as your favorite hero, monster, or character and step onto the mat for a playful martial arts session filled with energy, teamwork, and festive fun. This is the perfect chance for kids to show off their creativity, enjoy some Halloween spirit, and practice their ninja moves in costume.

October 25 │ 5 PM – 8 PM – Parents’ Night Out
Our Demon Hunters–themed Parent’s Night Out will keep the little ones entertained with games, challenges, and activities that bring out their inner ninja spirit. Kids will team up to train like fearless hunters, conquer spooky (but safe) obstacles, and enjoy a night filled with laughter, adventure, and a touch of Halloween magic.

October 25 │ 9 AM & 10AM – Bring a Boo Fitness Class

Come dressed in your favorite costume or Halloween gear and sweat it out together with high-energy moves that build strength, endurance, and teamwork.This is the perfect chance to share the ninja experience, introduce someone new to training, and make some awesome memories together. Best part? Your Boo joins for free! 🙌

September 29 to October 26 – Lean for Halloween Challenge

1 out of 4 weeks of accountability, nutrition tips, and training goals. Keep the momentum going!

Important Announcement

In observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the dojo will be closed on Monday, October 13th.

We encourage everyone to take this day to reflect, learn, and honor the rich histories and contributions of Indigenous communities. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 14th with our regular schedule.

In celebration of Halloween, morning classes will run as scheduled, and all afternoon and evening classes will be closed. This allows our ninjas and their families to enjoy the evening’s festivities, trick-or-treating, and community celebrations.

Here’s what’s new on the schedule:

Tuesdays & Thursdays

• 6:00 PM – Karate Girls Empowerment (Thursdays only)
  A class for girls, led by girls! This empowering session is all about building confidence, strength, and leadership on and off the mats.

• 7:00 PM – Adult Kickboxing (Tuesdays only)
  High-energy, sweat-dripping fun designed to challenge your body and boost your endurance.

Fridays

• 5:00 PM – Karate Kata (Forms) Open Mat
  FREE for members! A great chance to refine your forms and get extra practice in a supportive environment.

• 6:00 PM – Mastery & Performance Training for The Leadership Team
  For those gearing up to compete—focused training to sharpen your skills and take your performance to the next level.

• 7:00 PM – Advanced Karate (Black Belts only)
  A dedicated space for our advanced students to refine techniques and continue pushing their limits.
